The Hinterland Community Band Association (HCB) and Mudgeeraba Music Centre (MMC)

The Association of the Hinterland Community Band – Mudgeeraba Inc. (HCB) was formed in October 1995. It became an Incorporated Association (QLD) in August 1996. It is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT, INCORPORATED Association, is NON-PARTISAN and NON-SECTARIAN. It has been the sole leaseholder of the MUDGEERABA MUSIC CENTRE (MMC) since May 2009.

The HCB Association currently comprises a membership of approximately 60 musicians and supporters, volunteers from all areas of the Gold Coast, with a wide range of skills and ages.

It provides practising musicians with an Association where they can:

  • Maintain their expertise
  • Rehearse with other talented Musicians
  • Extend their musical knowledge and skills
  • Provide music for Community Events

OUR VISION STATEMENT:  

To foster the continuation of live musical performance

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Association will:

  • Provide musicians with an environment conducive to continuing and extending their skills
  • Effectively promote membership of the Association
  • Aim to become a valued asset to enhance civic events
  • Establish links within the local and wider community
  • Perform at community events and functions in the immediate and surrounding areas
  • Manage, and strive to retain, the ongoing lease of the Mudgeeraba Music Centre

 

CORE VALUES:

  • Strongly support active involvement of all Members
  • Acknowledge and retain quality Musicians and Music Directors
  • Foster leadership within the sections of the Bands
  • Encourage commitment to performance through rehearsal and attendance
  • Maintain the Music Centre as a pleasant, welcoming environment
  • Actively source community contacts and supporters
  • Establish locations for regular performances in the community
