Association of the Hinterland Community Band – Mudgeeraba Inc. (HCB)
A Not-for Profit Incorporated Association, which is Non-Partisan and Non-Sectarian.
The sole leaseholder of the Mudgeeraba Music Centre (MMC) since May 2009.
HCB was formed in October 1995 for musicians from all areas of the Gold Coast – Tweed. Volunteer musicians, student to senior, from a wide range of skills, are very welcome.
Currently the Association has two performance bands – the Hinterland Concert Band and the Hint of Swing Big Band –each rehearsing weekly at the Music Centre.
HCB provides practising musicians with an Association where they can:
- Maintain their expertise
- Rehearse with other talented Musicians
- Extend their musical knowledge and skills
- Provide music for Community Events

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Association will:
- Provide musicians with an environment conducive to continuing and extending their skills
- Effectively promote membership of the Association
- Aim to become a valued asset to enhance civic events
- Establish links within the local and wider community
- Perform at community events and functions in the immediate and surrounding areas
- Manage, and strive to retain, the ongoing lease of the Mudgeeraba Music Centre
