Concert Band

OUR VISION
“To foster the continuation of live musical performance”

The Hinterland Concert Band has member musicians ranging from talented young students to highly experienced senior members. These members regularly attend rehearsals where they extend their musical knowledge and skills, under the leadership of the Music Director, to provide music in the local community.

The Concert Band, not only providing the formalities and ‘Australiana’ at local civic functions such as Australia Day, ANZAC DAY and Remembrance Day ceremonies, also includes music from the shows, swing and popular tunes in their repertoire for entertainment at various concerts and community events.

Players of percussion, brass or wind instruments, who can read music and may be considering joining the band, are able to visit rehearsals to ascertain suitability and interest, prior to commitment.

The Concert Band rehearses on WEDNESDAYS from 6:30 – 9 pm. at the Mudgeeraba Community Centre, located in Firth Park on Somerset Drive between the football field and the netball courts. The rehearsal are in Hall 2 upstairs, there is also a lift between the ground floor and the upper level.

A welcome is extended to all musicians who make the commitment to attend rehearsals, performances and events, then make application and pay the membership fee to join the HCB Association.
